But as gorgeous as the 49-year-old actress looks in full glam, it’s hard to miss the fact that her skin is pretty much flawless without makeup. (Need proof? Just take a li’l cruise through her Instagram.) At this year's Emmys, Regina is nominated for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Limited Series or Movie for her role as Angela Abar/Sister Night in Watchmen. But let's be real, her gorgeous, glowy skin deserves an award of its own. Here’s exactly how Regina keeps her skin looking so good—and FWIW, her approach is totally doable. Regina keeps her skincare routine super simple. The actress told InStyle in May that she’s big on having her skin be clean and moisturized. And... that's about it. She takes an inside-out approach to skincare. Regina shared with InStyle that she’s been trying to nurture her skin from the inside out since she was a teenager. “My mother was very healthy, drinking lots of water and eating vegetables,” she said. “When I got to junior high, where you could buy your lunch, I began drinking soda. I broke out, and my mother said it was from soda. I stopped drinking it and never had breakouts again until I was 30 and got adult acne.” This content is imported from {embed-name}. Now, the If Beale Street Could Talk star says she keeps her skin clear through regular facials from skincare company Arcona, as well as by using their products. “They’re more natural,” she told InStyle. Regina loves Arcona products so much that she gave a testimonial on their website, writing, “to say that I am pleased with their products and treatments over the past few years would be an understatement.” She uses products for her skin type. Regina told Viva magazine that she sweats for up to an hour each day. "Continuing with my exercise also helps me keep some sort of balance in my life because I’ve always enjoyed working out and movement—I can never get enough of it," she says. Regina also said that she “always” has fresh fruit around for smoothies and loves to drink kefir water. Overall, Regina likes to take a personal approach to beauty. “You should always be yourself," she told InStyle. "You can look to things for inspiration, but you should be owning what you’re doing. It should be your own. You should never feel apologetic about it.” KORIN MILLER Korin Miller is a freelance writer specializing in general wellness, sexual health and relationships, and lifestyle trends, with work appearing in Men’s Health, Women’s Health, Self, Glamour, and more.

For those with dry skin—I’m combination, so I can relate half of the time—finding the right foundation can be frustrating.
